I Got so much done this weekend !

Good morning,

Yesterday I had such a productive day,cleaning,weeding in the garden,washing all 4 dogs,I made two cards & colored 3 images.I was on a roll~! I also got to browse the web and found a site called Frosted Deisgns .Last night I needed to make a card for my Dad's birthday, and I ran across their challenge..which is to use 3pattern paper,2 buttons and one word title.Hmmm I thought how will I make the buttons work in my card? Well I got out my Prismacolor markers out and started to draw a fish on the button. I then heat set dry & used some opaque pens called Souffle to add some more color. My word title is from my FAVORITE stamps PINK BY DESIGN Just 4 Men stamp set.My digital image is from Pollycraft called Maurice caught one.The pattern paper I used are from DCWV called the Photo stack 2,Imagine Snapshot:Texture cartridge,and the camouflage one is from a random stack of singles I got at a garage sale.Keeping with my goal this year I made two cards.One for the challenge & one for back up stash.

Cricut Imagine card

Last night I made a card using only my Cricut Imagine.I rarely sew on my cards,but I find them so pretty when you do.I have my settings wrong, cause the stitch was suppose to be Zigzag! LOL I think it came out cute anyway. My goal this year is to make more than one card at a time.What I mean is either use all the scraps to make another card or make one to give away and one to keep as back up.I made up the base of this card and sewed all the scraps to use for a similar card.Lets see how long I can keep that up! So I added a stamp sentiment on the front & embossed it, but I couldn't get a good picture.

Last week was a busy week and I finally finished my skeleton family decal for my sisters car.
The whole family loves skeletons, last year I even made party invites out of skull & cross bones.
I used Happy Hauntings and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridges. Hopefully the picture isn't too small. Can you believe I forgot to take a picture of my finish project after I placed it on her car?!
Luckily my sister send me the pic with her camera phone.

Good morning,

I woke up wide awake at 3am excited to post my X-xtra Special Celebration Purse Album. My idea for the album came from Following The Paper Trail. I used her Stack the deck method to assemble the album. The only thing I changed was to make it into a purse and use my Cricut to cut everything out with.My neice got sick back to back with one thing or another this whole Christmas vacation.My purse album was made for an X-xtra special neice to Celebrate her being able to make the Houston trip this weekend. We all went to Aylssa's ice skateing party...which was loads of fun.

Last night I made a Super man treat box as a gift for my daughters baby brother. This year everyone was giving him Comic book characters. I searched google & youtube and I could not find any instructions on how to put him together. Joy has a video on a Superman cupcake box, but other than that this cartridge is going to be trail and error. I made a bunch of mistakes, but I like the way it came out. My First Scrapbook !

My First attempt at scrap booking
I ran across a you tube video and tried to make something similar to Following the Paper Trail’s paper bag mini. Actually she has a lot of videos using paper bags. I watched so many and in corporate a combination of a few. They all kind of blurred in my head I couldn’t tell which one was from which.
I had the right timing to try a scrapbook album just when the
MY PINK STAMPER is doing a blog hop Challenge.
I don’t have any of her stamp sets, but I adore her creativity,Informative blog and she seems like a super nice person.
I’ve never scrap booked so making an album out of paper bags had me all giddy to try something new. New to me at least. I used Accent Essentials cartridge & Tags bags and more for the tags. I also used Kate’s ABC’s for my accents. A few odds and ends from the dollar store and regular paper bags from the grocery store. I had so much fun trying this out I plan to do a few more.

My First Banner & Vinyl project

My niece is having her first baby & I've made a Banner for the shower.My sisters worked hard on all the decorations & I was super happy I could help.I forgot what size I cut the squares out in, but I do have a cutfile in DS and I can easily turn it into a gypsy file if anyone would like it. It's really rather simple & it folds nicely into a quart size ziploc bag.

Hello everyone,

I can't believe it's been a month since the last time I posted. I've been out of town weddings, vacation in Georgia, OOh Yeah I got married. Now I'm headed to Corpus Christi for my Niece's baby shower. It’s been a long time since I've visited in Corpus I thought I'd bring a little gift to my new niece & some gifts for the others too. I'll start with the Hello Kitty T-shirt project. I used my Imagine to print & cut my Hello Kitty on Transferable paper. This was a little tricky!! I thought how complicated could it be? Well Hello Kitty is done in layers (not and I cart). Getting them to stay in place while you ironed was tricky. When I finished the transfer seemed unpolished. So I used some 3D fabric paint (Hobby Lobby) & outlined the different colors & re-outlined the black. I’m happy with the way it all turned out. With any new project practice makes perfect, so I'll be trying this again soon.
I did find the Imagine cartridges were much easier to transfer over...No layers. I could print the image whole.Which made the transfer easier.
Hind site is twenty-twenty. I read so many blogs and message board post over time I thought I had it all covered.I didn't some transfers tell you to wash your clothes before hand. Others tell you not to..The dark transfer is ironed on right side up and the light colored transfer is ironed on image faceing shirt.I did learn a lot, so I look forward to trying again.

Good Evening Everyone,

I made this card for my daughters 20th birthday tomorrow. She has been saying her teen years are gone so I thought it would be funny to give her a scull card. The inside says
" Death of Your Teenage Years is Something to Celebrate" Does it sound like Edward from Twilight said something similar? I was watching Twilight when I wrote it. LOL

I made this card useing the JT cartridge and all the paper was printed from the JT cartridge as well. I love my Imagine! I use my Imagine when I want to make a quick card. Wow It's been a while since my last post. I'm still learning my gypsy but I tend to go to my DS more than my gypsy.I feel it takes me so much longer to get it right with the gypsy that I go striaght to my DS. Wonder if anybody else is having that problem? I've got a lot going on in the next few months. Weddings,Birthdays,trips,Vacation etc. Plus we've been trying to mate my male pug with a pug a few blocks down. Water For Elephant cards

Hello Everyone,

I hope ya'l had a relaxing weekend.We had some awesome weather this weekend & did a little gardening. I've been learning to use my gypsey and practiceing what I learn. Thankfully there are a lot of good videos out there to give you a hand.
Me & my sisters are Wild about Robert Pattenson and are planning on watching Water for Elephants when it comes out. What better way than send out invites & make it a Rob night.

I used Summer vacation cartridge for the Circus Tent,Animanl Kingdom for the Elephant,Country Life for the tub of water. I messed ups so much trying to cut out the tent that I gave up and painted the tent with acrylique paint & used Scribbles 3D paint for the yellow on the tent. Well I went to sleep still thinking about what I did wrong..& it was that I grouped the tents & copied them. So every time I changed the setting on the tent & shadow...whatever one I changed last was what both stayed. You have to ungroup!! Then I kept thinking I need water! The Elephant needs a water trough !! I learned in the process and I really like the way it turned out.

Minnie Card

Hello Everyone,

I hope your weekend was an enjoyable one. I played with my new Gyspy & watched a few videos.
It's a lot like Design Studio..& NOT.I created this card & it reminded me of my girls teenage years.
Card Recipe:
Card dimensions are 6.5 x 5, Minnie cut at 4 inches, Radio cut at 1.5, stove cut at 1.4th.
I cut the stove and turned it on its side to resemble an end table. Musical notes paper made by Design Originals. The Wooden floor cut from wallpaper swatches, all other paper cut from my scrap pile. I also used Liquid embossing by Plaid on Minnie’s eyes and nose. Glitter Glue and Martha Stewart glitter for a little bling on Minnie’s clothes.

Whew!! I made it through an awesome weekend with my family. The drive to Corpus is only a 4 hour drive...but trying to cram every minute with memories, is exausting! We had a tea party with real tea sets sandwiches and cookies. It was great!
I had another glitch with my Cricut Imagine!! This will be my second machine I'm having to send back! The positive thing about Provocraft is the process was real easy.The bar that holds the mat only stays up for the first cut. Then it won't go back up unless you turn the machine on and off.This card was made useing The Cricut Imagine.

Today I finished my card set for my Mom & my Owl card for the My Pink Stamper challenge,and Stamping Vacation.
I rarely play The Pink Stampers challenges, because there is so many you have to compete with. This time I thought…nothing ventured nothing gained. I already had the shadow cut from a mishap with my first owl. This time it was rather easy to make since I already made one early in the week. I really enjoy making my owl; I can see myself using this cart more.

Exploring Forever Young

Hello Everyone,
Today I went to Fort Polk La to see my daughter. I took the day off and drove the 3 hrs for lunch and another 3 back. It was fun, but made me wish for more time with her. Say a prayer for her…she starts a new job on post, Friday. If you know Fort Polk and the surrounding areas you know jobs are in short supply. Small country living with one road as the main shopping area, & post shopping is atrocious. We were a military family and stationed in Fort Polk for a year. Thankfully his brigade moved to Fort Hood & I loved it there. Unfortunately for my daughter her husband’s next duty station isn’t coming up any time soon. As much as she despises Fort Polk I am happy she is close by.
This week I’m exploring my new Forever Young cartridge. My New Year resolution was to use my carts more. Exploring each cartridge is so much fun, why did I wait so long?

Happy Saturday Everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying thier weekend.I'm exploring my Paisely cartridge & so far I really like this cart a lot! I actually made this card at the Cricut Swarm. I hardly ever use the shadow feature on my cards...only because it seems the shadows come out really big for the size I want it to go under. For instance..This Owl was cut at 4 and a half yet the shadow I had to cut it at 4 and a 4th becasue it looked huge for the actual owl size.

While I hadn't posted in a long time, I did have a Cricut/Twilight weekend with my Sisters. One of my sisters just bought a gypsy & the other one recieved her first Cricut. I bought her a cricut create & three cartridges. It was nice to have a weekend full of crafting.Everyone had a great time & we all learned a little more. The hearts card are for my mom's bunco in night Febuary. Twinkle toes girls & Mini Mouse are waiting for the right card to be put on.

Has everyone worked with glitter this holiday season? I've got glitter all over the house! Martha Stewart's fine glitter seems to have powers over my vaccum cleaner! Twilight Christmas ornaments

These ornaments were made for my Twilight loving sisters & Daughter in law.
We are diehard Rob obessed & constantly telling each other how we watching him.. thru text
Since I'm the only empty nester I claim Rob as my boyfriend, because I get to see him on dvd everyday. Yes Everyday,Sometimes the same movie back to back.

Imagine Card

Hello Bloggers,

I hope everyone has started their Christmas shopping. I have a few more people & I'll be done soon. Thankfully, because I still have a lot of Christmas projects I still need to get done. This weekend I played with my Cricut Imagine, challenge from My Pink Stamper was to create a card using your Imagine. I'm not thrilled with my Imagine, or if I need to do any updates? I'm not comfortable with the time it takes to pick out my project get it adjusted on my screen in order to make the cuts. The more I work with it the more comfortable I'll get it's just a matter of time. I am glad I got my imagine, it cuts beautifully and I'm sure once I get more familiar with my imagine I'll grow to love it as much as I love my expression.
Today’s card was created with the Best Friends art cartridge. The only thing that wasn't printed from the cartridge was the black cardstock. I used a bunch of pop dots for dimension & a memory making flower brad in the middle of the flower. Ribbon from Hobby lobby sachet & Pearl from Paper Studio. Thanks for stopping by.

This weekend I created a second card using my wildcard cartridge & Design studio.
I hide all the scallops & score/tick marks. Ooh this was my first time using my sewing machine on my card! Not perfect. But it will do. Practice makes perfect.

Late Sunday post

This weekend I finally get to play with my Cricut Imagine. So far I’m not that impressed with it.
The only cartridges I like so far are the ones that came with the machine…& the ones that are out aren’t that impressive to me. I’m sure if I could weld and hide the things I want to remove it would make the machine more appealing. That would mean I need to buy a gypsy. Right now they are having way too many problems with both systems. I do think it’s a keeper. I was too eager…& should have waited…but I do like it..& I’m sure they’ll come out with more carts I will be eager to buy.
My first tag…ever was created with my Imagine. I’m going to send this card to my Grandparents & include a gift card in back of the tag. I’m also going to tell her to use it as a bookmark too.
I mad the little pocket from the wildcard cartridge. I just turned it upside down & cut the bottom off. I’d like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Happy Monday Bloggers,
I had a cleaning yet relaxing weekend. Last week I received my Cricut Imagine. Unfortunately my machine wouldn't calibrate or cut. I had to send it back...but I'm hopeful it won't take long to receive another machine soon. I took this weekend to clean my craft room & re-arrange my shelves. I now have an empty space to accommodate my new Cricut Imagine. In the meantime I'll read up & watch Utube videos. I hope your weekend was as productive as mine at the very least relaxing.

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Well I’m finishing my cards rather late tonight. Today I had a few errands to do & yard work. I felt I had pretty productive day, but it didn’t feel complete unless I felt the same about my crafts.
Speaking of crafts, don’t you think your card making or scrapbook pages are a work of art? I do we take so much time & pride in what are finished products will look like…how could it not be art? I guess that’s my chip on my shoulder when I hear comments about having too much time on my hands. Or it’s not watercolor or oil painting aren’t you just coloring? Who's to say one’s hobby is better than the other? I guess I shouldn’t let it bother me. Most of the time it’s people that don’t have something they enjoying doing besides watch TV, or drinking that make those comments.

Hello Everyone,

This is has been a hectic week. My daughter & husband visited a little on there last few days of their vacation/leave. Ryan is in the Army and they’ve just received orders to go to Vilseck, Germany! I am so excited for her, & worried at the same time. My mind is whirling of all the things we need to do to get her ready. We lived 3 years Oschenfurt, Germany when my ex-husband was in the military. She was little at the time, and doesn’t remember much, but we toured our little city. Just me & her. God willing I’ll get to visit her and go back to where we once lived.

Today we created a card for the Midnight Madness Sketch # 60 Challenge. Since Emily doesn't have a blog were posting it here. If Emily wins then I'll send it to her so she'll start her own craft challenges.
This card was created useing Paper Studio's So-Sweet Paper pack & Cricut's Hannah Montana's cartridge,an old stash of metallic ribbon, plus a little glitter glue to make it the butterfly sparkle. Had a great time showing Emily how to create a card useing a sketch.

Eclipse!!

We went to the midnight showing of Eclipse! Wow what an awesome movie. We had such a great time. We even had Bloody Marys to celebrate before the movie. Have you gone to see the movie yet? I'm holding up my eye lids with toothpicks this morning, but so worthy it. Can't wait to see it again when I go to Corpus to visit the rest of my family. My sister and I plan to play with the circut and hopefully finish a project or two..Just wanted to post how much fun we had...Twilight fans are such happy crowd to be around...If you've never been to a midnight showing, then you’re missing out in a lot of fun.

I woke up this morning with Eclipse on the brain. My sister is flying in on Tuesday and were going to the 12am showing of Eclipse at the Imax center in Houston. Hello Everyone,
I'm happy to report Moses is on he's way to a full recovery, and will have to be on a special prescription diet. He's old and we probably only have 3 more years ,give or take a year.We want him to be in good health as long as possible. He's back to he's impatient self when it comes to feeding time, barking if I'm taking to long. Ha-ha that’s how I know he's feeling better. I have noticed he's more affectionate toward me, which tells me he's thankful. Awee doesn't that give you the warm and fuzzies. LOL
This weekend I'm playing a long to a few challenges..making up for my weekends of playing nurse to my dog. My card was created with a digi stamp from Doodle Palace called Harley the Hound.I used dimensional dots to give my Hound a 3-d affect. The paw bard is from Around the block "Paper Treats" Embossed the yellow cardstock with cuttlebug folder dots.

Crafting to keep me sane

Seems like I've been away forever. My poor Moses got sick last weekend and I've been consumed with worry. He had surgery about three days ago and has been in the hospital the whole work week. Hopefully if no more complications arise He'll be home on Monday. So hard to see an animal suffer, it's been a rough week and I was so disappointed he wouldn't be coming home this weekend. I cleaned like mad & washed the dogs to keep from slipping into depression. I had to put my 12 yr old dog to sleep 2yrs ago and I'm just not ready to go through another lose. I will pray for the best and accept God's will. After all that I decide to do a card.

My honey's birthday is today. So much going on this week at work makes me feels exhausted at home. This morning I skipped my morning work out so I can make He's card & wrap he's gift.Of course I had to enter a few challenges at the same time. Well on my way out (rushing) I see a tree service cutting our neighbors trees. Well my honey commented on how he would like to have our tree trimmed, so I took a chance. I hope I don't come home to a tree limbed holed roof!!I'm saying prayers as I'm typing this out. My card will be entered in:

Today I excersized, created a card, blog surfed, cleaned house and cooked dinner. Boy am I tired. The card I created today is for My Pink Stamper, which was to create a card using Green, Yellow & Brown. I used Just Because Cartridge...but without the cake cut. Making Cards on Mothers Day for Caadvarks Challenge

Caardvarks has started their monthly challenges. I actually like the once a month challenges because it gives you more time to be creative. Now I know I said I was going to try and use my scraps this year, but will...I cracked. I bought a new scrapbook kit by ATD (momenta) called the Great Outdoors. I also had this lovely digi from Pixie Dust Studio called Fishing Friends. While I was browsing through my paper pack I thought ^^ this would be great with my new digi^^!

Anyhooo I think the card came out lovely and all the paper except the blue came from the paper pack, the blue was a scrap...OOOh I sewed some fishing string on the rod & reel, I also painted yellow on a little pom-pom to make it look like a bobber. Hope you like it as much as I do.

A Card for My Grandpa

Happy Wednesday Everyone,
I’m going to visit my family this weekend. I made this card for my Grandpa. I thought he might enjoy a weekly joke and updates on my life. He enjoys when I stop by and always tells me a story about what we did when we were little. Update: My daughters’ wedding has come and gone, & it was a lot of fun. We had such a great time…we joked that the wedding celebrations lasted all weekend. Here’s the card info and challenges I did this week. The card sketch used for this card is from Card Scraps.

Beautiful Weekend

This weekend has flown by, but I've gotten a lot of housework done that I had been putting off.I was on Facebook the other day jokeing about having run out of milk. Well I had planned to wait until the weekend to get the little things I needed.My work was rather tense and I decided I wanted to some wine & cheese and needed to go to the store. Funny how I was willing to wait for milk and eggs, but ran to the store for wine and cheese. With the girls gone we don't drink milk like we used to so it wasn't a big deal. Any way I made this card in honor of our facebook chat.
I was playing with my new Cricut cartridge called just because. I welded the word wine into the Milk container and used wallpaper as the background. I hope everyone had a great weekend too. Thanks for stopping by.

Did you hear Pixie Dust Studio has a DT call out until April 30th. I’m throwing my name in the hat, Wish me luck!! With both my girls gone (almost in June) . My daughters’ wedding is this Saturday. I’m so nervous for her, but happy…She’s so happy. So needless to say I’ll have more time on my hands.
Today I’ve created a card for Sugar Creek Hollow & Creative Inspirations Challenge.
I used Sugar Creek Hollow’s sketch and a digi image from Pixie Dust Studio’s called In the Meadow.For Creative Inspirations Challenge you were to use Lime Green, Black and Flowers.
My Pixie dust digi provided flowers in my image and I also used flowers in my ribbon.Plus it’s also lime green!
This card came together easily . I used chalk for the clouds and my primsacolor pencils, plus a little bit of copper acrylic paint for Edwards hair. Thanks for stopping by and leaveing a comment.
My Second card is for Card Patterns sketch #59. I used a digi named Winky from Pixie Dust Studio.I wanted Mr.Winky to be King of the jungle so I used my jungle print cardstock and gave him more darker look around the face. You know kinda like a outgrown beard. LOL ...

This card also can be used as a baby card for Caardvarks...cause Mr.Winky is so versitile like that.

Anthing But A Card

Happy Monday to all,

Bernice one of my co-workers gave me a few wooden cigar boxes and I decided to make my niece Bella a purse. You see Bella is a Girly Girl; she loves purses,shoes and playing dress up.

I got lucky and Creative Inspirations Challenge Blog this week was to create anything but a card. I need post the side view of this purse, because I added a flowered ribbon. I originally wanted to use gems, but Bella has a baby brother. I was fearful if one of the gems fell off it could be swallowed! So I opted for a girly ribbon.

I hope you like it...I know Bella will.

This card is made for Stampin Royalty We are suppose to use the Easter theme.I hope this duck is considered an Easter theme, I even have an Easter egg inside the pocket. AnyWho this is what I did: Today I tried a new techinque to me and I learned it from Digital Delights . I even placed a liner inside of my card! You know I've never done that unless I've created the card with my cricut. LOL I've been in my little comfort zone to long..so this year I'm trying to branch out...That and go to my scrap pile before I cut into my paper packs. You know how hard that is espicially when I have three new paper packs I can't wait to tear into! My card was created useing So-So Sweet paper pack some construction paper for the inside and a super digi from Tales from Pollycraft.

It's been a while and I'm so glad to be crafting again just for fun. This week I'm trying Three Challenges all of which I've never tried before. My card was created using a sketch from Stampin’ Royalty. I also made this card for Everything Old is New Again which asked you to use any of your stash that you don't use because it's too messy. The last challenge is for Whimsie Wednesday @ PCP which asked you to use green and some stitching in your card.
I created my card using a Magnolia stamp colored with Prisma pencils. The paper was from an older paper pack from Momenta.I also used my perfect pearls and shimmerz products to paint around the heart and the side of the card. This by the way is my seldom used messy stash. I also used my prisma markers to make my faux stitching.

Two Challenges

I haven't had much time to craft lately, but I've enjoyed making these cards. I'm still trying to stick to my goal of useing my scraps before going to my paper stash. Both cards were made from my scraps pile. My Jacob card is made from Pixie Dust Studio image. If your a Twilight fan you'll rememeber Bella tell Jacob " your so warm, your like your own sun". Thats why I have the sun in my card. That and I used a a sketch from I Heart 2Stamp Challenge. It will be my first time trying, a I Heart 2 Stamp Challenge. I love the amount of time she gives you to work on your project. I may try again and see if I can get more detail in my card. I'm re reading Eclipse and have now started to watch Twilight with the comentary on . Yup I'm living in my fantasy world so I decided it was time to create a Jacob card. My next card is made for Creatively Yours Sketches. I used scraps and wallpaper squares punched out by my big punch. I used a digi from Doodle Palace Store called Seana and Scamp Squirrels. I bought a bunch of great images a few months back and now I'm getting to use them.

Busy,Busy My Daughter is getting married

My daughter is getting married in April and we were busy all week making wedding shower invitation. She's so happy and I'm happy she's happy. Funny but when Ryan told me he was going to propose, all I could see in my head was when she was a baby. Now every moment I spend with her is more precious than ever. You see she's moving to Fort Polk after she graduates college. Ryan is in the Army and I remember how hard being an army wife can be. I'm sure she'll adjust just fine and we're only 3 hours away, but you know how us mom's worry. This card is to be entered in Caardvarks chance to get published in Cards Magazine's July 2010 issue.

I spent all day cleaning and cleaning and doing errands, I forgot to post my card. ;( I finished it on Saturday, and I don't know why I didn't post it after I finished. Oh well I'm sure everyone has done that. Ha I made this card using the sketch from Techno Stampers Challenge. It would have been my first time to try there challenge. I'll try again next week. I like the sketch and felt pretty comfortable with the outcome. I used Pink & Brown for Sassy Studio Design Challenge. The brown paper is from Paper reflections Metropolitan Palette, Embassy Cardstock & Digi image fromBuy Sassy Studio Designs.I'm exhausted and I'm so close to finishing Eclipse. I can't wait for the movie I'm so addicted to the Twilight series! Like a shirt I read said.“It’s a TWILIGHT thing you wouldn’t understand.”

Have you seen Twilight or New Moon? Are you a fan? I indulge myself reading the books. ? Well last weekend I won a free digi from Pixie Dust Studio.

When I was picking out which digi I wanted I found Bella, Edward & Jacob! When I saw them I had to have all three. All weekend I fussed over how I was going to place Bella & Edward on my card.
Then I decided I would use Friday Sketchers sketches for Bella & Edward. I had so much fun making this card and working the sketch. If you’re a Twilight fan you'll love these digis.
I used my new paper pack from DCWV called Photo Stack 2 bought at Joann’s. I used my circuit to cut out all the shapes using George cartridge & Winter Wonderland for the font.
I also used Prismacolor pencils and copper paint for Edwards’s hair.
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Now I'm off to bed & read a few pages of New Moon.

Four Cards in One day!

Have you tried digi stamps? I Love them! I think I'm getting addicted to them. I've found two great sites. Doodle Palace digital images & Pixie Dust Studio's has big selections with some awesome digis. Kathy @ Pixie Dust Studio even has twilight digis (I'm on team Edward). Stop by her blog or Etsy Store you'll be glad you did. For a limited time Kathy is offering a free Valentine digi. Here's what I made using my free digi for Pixie Challenge Shape.
I used my circuit wildcard cartridge to create my shape card & envelope. I used wallpaper scraps for the frame and colored her with Prismacolor pencils and watercolor pencils.

The next card I made is my first for Eat Sleep Stamp repeat as needed challenge.
I love this sketch, simple yet elegant. I used baby blue Embassy cardstock & my cuttlebug swirls embossing folder.The swirls paper is from a wallpaper samples I got from Lowes.The stamp is
from RubberNecker Stamps called Sophisticated Belle.

Update on my life & Challenge

Gosh can you believe it's been three weeks with out my SUV. I was in tears all day worrying about how I was going to get home, this week from work. Then the more I thought about the experience I had with the car dealer last night the more I wanted to cry. Good news is I got a call from the insurance adjuster. There giving me $7,000.00 for my SUV!! I am so surprised & thankful. I would like to buy something outright, but I also can't afford car repairs. I'm looking for used and have taken tomorrow off to run errands and finish up paperwork with the insurance company. With all the worrying I've done today I'm exhausted.
I did get to work on a card today! I made this card using a sketch from Allsorts Challenge Blog . The striped paper is by My mind's Eye Where the Heart Is purchased at Hobby Lobby. The Stamp is by Elizabeth O.Dulemba" . Elizabeth has some coloring pages she allows us to use for cards which also promotes her books.

Update January 14th I bought the SUV ! I went back to the same dealer, but a different salesperson and ironed out everything. Luckily the insurance check was enough to put a good down payment & help out with the house taxes. God works in mysterious ways.

My Life & My prayers

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, with getting my craft room organized and sitting watching TV with Bob. Oh yeah and the dogs. I'm normally a positive person and don't usually complain. I accept everyone faults and all, trying to find the good in everyone. No I haven’t' always been like that. I've learned a lot through life and from the kindness of my friend Helen, Bob& my family. Well Bob lost he’s job as Warehouse Distribution Manger for a big furniture in Houston around Nov 2008. He was doing well nothing like 75thousand a year, but at least 50. He worked for the company for 15years and they eventually sold the business after they made huge cuts. Because Times are hard he’s taken any job that has been offered to him, because there’s nothing out there!! He worked manually labor on Centennials tar Mack unloading planes and loading plus other back braking work. After working there 6months they laid off. Four hard months later he’s landed another job as a manager in training. … I know he was getting tired of staying home and frustrated every job interview said he was over qualified! In today’s job market a lot of people have to re adjust. I pray and hope things will get better.With the car accident I had a week before Christmas hasn’t helped matters! I went to the car dealer yesterday and I don’t make enough to qualify for a used car!! Bumming rides to get to work can only go on for so long. I’m not giving up. I’ll try another dealer and start looking for something a lot cheaper. God give me strength! Send me your prayers my fellow crafting people.

I hope everyone had a Happy New Year. I was reading one of Allison’s posting about word of the year and I thought; how funny I’m not the only one that looses the day. Some days it’s like I blinked and the day was finished. I have been busy organizing my craft room.I'm also ADHD more ADD than hyper so it's extremely hard to stay focused on my task. I have managed to work on my craft room, the Landry room and the living room and accomplish two tasks. The Landry room still needs more work, and I'm getting another shelf in my craft room so I'll be at it again rearranging. Hopefully I'll get a chance to create some cards. I plan to make some projects with fabric this year.

I have been sooo busy making Christmas presents and cards. I’ve been to parties and get togethers like everyone else, December flew by. Sad news!! I got into a wreck this past Saturday. A five car pile up,Thank God no one was hurt.Now I'm waiting to find out who will pay for my SUV to be fixed. Until then I'm borrowing cars until I hear from the insurance.Oh my such is life, I put my faith in God and pray for patience.
This week I have made a card for Delightful Sketches And I used there sketch as well to enter this card in Stamp Challenge As well. I wanted to enter two more challenges, however my week is flying by. Even with my Suv undriveable & Bob still sereaching for a job, my spirts are high and I'm looking foward to spending Christmas at home.

Happy Veterans Day

Hello Everyone,

Happy Veterans Day, May God Bless our soldiers and their families. I was a military wife for 9years through the Gulf War, Operation Storm/Shield. I look back with fond memories and a thankful heart that my ex-husband served our military proudly. The scarifies he endured for us & he's country well never be forgotten. We were stationed in FT.Hood our last tour of duty. If you've never been to Killeen, Texas you should stop on by. My heart & prayers go out to the military & their families that have had to endure the senseless act one person.
I have created a card using the sketch from Delightful Sketches. Plus I have combined this sketch with a challenge for Stamp Something Challenge. Sorry the picture didn't come out well.

Mojo Monday Card & Birthday card for Daniel

Hello Everyone,
Do you live in an area that uses daylight saving time? It doesn't matter that we gained an hour of sleep! My body always feels sluggish every time it changes. I'm actually glad today is Wenesday. I miss visiting my family, and seeing all my little nieces and nephews.Hopefully I'll see my nephew play soccer this weekend. If you have been following my blog, in my last post I talked about Claire requesting birthday cards for Daniel. I decided because they live in England and I live in Texas I'd make a Cowboy card for Daniel. You know with the ten gallon hat....Everything Big in Texas look. Happy Birthday Card for Delightful Sketches

Wow can you believe it! I made three cards in one week. My sister-in-law Armi has a birthday this week. My brother lives in Sugarland on the other side of Houston, so I can mail her card a little later, than I normally would. I made this card with a skecth from Delightful Sketches. They post new sketches every two weeks which gives you plenty of time to make a perfect card. For more info on their challenges visit their blog.
I used a digi stamp I got from Picasa Webalbum. The background paper is from the Paper Studio SO-SO-SWEET paper pack with glitter.
Flower ribbon purchased at Hobby Lobby. I used Shimmerz on the ribbon and flowers. Lastly I used a puffy paint for the center of each flower, and raised the image with dimensional dots.

Funny Halloween Card & Challenges

Hello again Everyone.

I'm so suprised I've made two cards in one weekend. I hope to finish one more, but we'll see. Today was a gloomy, rainy day. Makes you wonder if the witch in my card was having weather issues . This witch & phrase come from RubberNecker stamps, everything else was made with my cricut. I got a few suggestions to add some crows, which are hand made.

This card was not only fun to make but funny too.

Crazy 4 Challenges

Hello Everyone,
This was a beautiful weekend! The mesquites were out by the dozens, but other than that just wonderful! Bob's pug Moses is old even though & we know he can partially see from one eye.He functions normally and we have never experienced any problems. Well this weekend we took our dogs to the park & I was walking Moses.We were walking at a fairly fast pace. This surprised me, because Moses usually walks slowly. Well anyway: He walked into a tree!!! Yeah Walked into a tree!! I looked down just in time to see him hit he's head! He shook it off and nothing is wrong with him. But man do I feel soo bad! We all laughed & joked about it, but!! Well it got me thinking....I need to pay more attention when I'm walking him. Poor old dog.

Help us celebrate our 100th Cricut cartridge—Winter Woodland! That’s right, we reached 100 cartridges. As a thank you for our great Cricut community members we want you to celebrate with us. So, we’re giving away 100 cartridges over the next five weeks (20 per week). Here’s how it will work. Each week we will be posting a thread. When you respond to the thread you will be entered to win. You can enter once by replying and you can enter a second time by posting on your blog about the celebration and linking back to the cartridge product page. Here is the link to include in your blog.
