My Weekend is almost gone and I haven't made one single card this week!
I'm planning on making one Father's day card today even if it kills me.
I garden and love to take pictures. I can't say I'm a photographer, because I'm not.
I'm still learning my camera which I've had for a year now. ...Anyhow here’s a few photo's of what I did yesterday & what I captured with my camera.

Malia 1st Birthday invitations

The Weeks have flown by...So much so that I almost ran out of time!
I made Malia's 1st birthday invitations. This is the first time I've ever tried to make invitations. What an accomplishment it was! I mean WOW I did it! My first ten invitations were done over a weekend and I thought they turned out great. Well I took them to work and a friend pointed out the hinge was too fragile. She was right...Well I could tell I just hadn't thought how to fix it..I guess I thought they'd be ok. I made this card with my cricut and design studio. I added two shadows of a flower welded together. That corrected the first ten. I then went to my original cut file and added more circles to the hinge and that gave the card a more study hinge.I used plan white card stock and painted metallic white paint over body and face. I used chalk for the nose and mouth and dimensional for head,body & hair.

Mojo Monday Week 87

Can you believe it took me a whole week to figure out what I wanted to do with this sketch? Maybe I did it backwards.I got my Paper & colors I wanted to use then I figured out what I was going to put in them. I wonder how other people think up there design? If you have any hints please share.
I used olive green polka dot paper from a paper pack called The First Blush Collection by Prima,Stamp is by Whimsy Stamps Animal Collection. Used my Circuit to cut Happy Birthday message, scallop,circle,squares,& lilypond flower. The background paper is once again wallpaper scraps I got from Lowes. I used pop dots for the frog & lily pad.
I enjoyed thinking about what I wanted to put in the sketch. Then seeing it come to exactly like you pictured. Fun can't wait to try again.

Learning Everyday & New Thank you Card

I got my new stamps in this week. I'm so excited! Hopefully I'll get to try a few challenges. I sent out my thank you card and today I read that I put the flower on wrong.Ohh Well it's a learning process, but I think the card came out good.

My First Attempt

My first Attempt at an Unscripted Sketches 06.

I tend to make cards with whatever I have on hand. Not caring if it is acid free or name brands.
If it's a scrapbook page or something that will be kept for a longtime I will use acid free products, but in this case I didn't.
This card was made with wallpaper sample tan marbleized background. Blue paper by K& C Company Paper Pack. Stamp is from Stamps Happen, Inc. purchased at Hobby Lobby. I used watercolors & pastels by gallery. Ribbon purchased at Wal-Mart made by A Touch of Ribbon.
I enjoyed making this card, and look forward to trying more challenges. Hopefully improve on my technique as well.
