Quinceanera Money Box

Hello Everyone,

Here's another post for the Quinceanera I recently got to participate in. I made the Money Box where you place your cards. I haven't been to a 15 party in 5 years...and before that it was 10yrs! Things sure have changed!  It was so much fun!

I wrapped the box, cut the slot in center, and sanded the cuts to a smooth finish and spray painted the top. I used fabric stiffener on the ribbon and wrapped it  around a dowel and let it dry to get the ringlets.

I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:

Bunny Zoe's Crafts- Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everybody #12 Anything Goes
Eureka Stamps - #24 Use Teal or Turquoise
Die Cuttin Diva’s -#100 Anything Goes

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Quinceanera dress card

                                                     Quinceanera dress Card

Hello Bloggers,

Have you ever researched a project you had in mind….and even had an exact idea on what you wanted, but unsure of how to make all the pieces come together. That’s exactly what happens with me…I started this dress 3 weeks ago. I was watching a you tube video from nanajl54.  I wanted one much smaller…so I took her idea and adapted it to a card size.I cut my tp roll in half then cut in half again. Which meant I now had to tape the tp roll together. I have done a few dress form dresses, but this dress form I wanted it to be more voluptuous and more dramatic. I used hot glue to build up chest and used crepe paper and glue to shape her more. I wrapped sequins ribbon around and hand sewed corset together. After this I was stumped! How do I create the bottom part of dress? I moved it to the side and worked on a few other things. After I worked it all out in my head I sewed the top straight stitch and pulled strings to gather up around the waist. I originally straight stitched both bottom and top to try and form a ruffled dress…then bam it hit me! So I took off stitching at bottom and hot glued stripes of ribbon under the gathered ribbon to give it more fullness ..and poof…Tadda it was finished!! OOh I forgot to mention I made the dress form into a pin..This way Brittney can take it off the card and put it with her Quinca keepsakes.

Vinyl Hello Kitty meets Iphone

Hello Everyone,

Now that the holidays have past I have a few moments to post some of the projects I worked on over the holidays. I created an IPhone (4s) cover for Mireya. The 1st Hello Kitty I cut out with the Cricut very carefully, Halloween Hello Kitty is a sticker from Wal-Mart. I created a cut file on my gypsy for this, but it wasn't exact. I did trim it slightly on the side. These are fun to make, but they don't hold up well if like me you like to place your phone in your pocket. The Halloween one did hold up longer, because we modge podged after we placed it all together. If you would like the cut file email me or leave a comment with your email and I'll send it to you.

My first dress form

Happy New Year Everyone,

Today’s card is for my DT post at Alphabet Challenge Blog
where X marks the Spot - Spots and Stripes...My card uses stripes and one big spot that has a B on it. This card was so fun to make! I was inspired to use Pink, because Pink is Bella's signature color.

I used Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge, a glue gun, pink tissue paper, glue and a chopstick. Like we used to do in Kindergarten I cut the tissue and twisted it around a chopstick and put glue at the bottom and pushed in place with chopstick and release. I did this until the bottom was covered. I spritzed water on to my scrap piece of paper and let that dry a little. I enhanced my dress form by adding breast with my glue gun. I used glue to wrap the now more pliable scrap paper to the top of dress form. After all had dried I added a little bling with stickles. I added a La Petites rose with some bling flower picks. Lace from Hobby Lobby, &  circle stamp by Anna Griffin. The pretty pink paisley paper is from clearance paper stack which had no cover page so I don’t know who made it.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
By The Cute and Girly - Cute and Girly

Christmas Cards

Hello Everyone,

Ok so I thought I was ahead of the Christmas rush and had all my Christmas cards made and then bam!  I have had weekly Dr.visits since after Thanksgiving and minor surgery on Monday. All is healing well and God willing the results well be negative. Hopefully I’ll hear something tomorrow and I won’t have to go thru Christmas week waiting for results. I am sure all is fine, but the what if’s can overwork your mind.
Well enough of my cryptic worrisome mind. I have enjoyed keeping my mind busy by being in my craft room. I was blog hopping and saw someone’s design team using Dr.Digi’s House of Stamps images and was compelled to go shopping!!  To my surprise I was the 1001 person to order, I won a free digital image! Isn’t that an AWESOME surprise?! I am always looking for male digi’s and Dr.Digi’s House of Stamps has plenty. Well today’s card was created with I'm Dreaming of a Wide Christmas by… Dr.Digi’s House of Stamps , Martha Stewarts Floral lace border punch, AC Specialty Paper Foil and embossing edge, AC Patterned paper Christmas, ribbon by Celebrate It.
