D for Daffodils at Alphabet Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Bloggers,

Today’s post is for my DT post which was D for Daffodils. This wasn’t my best work; I was stumped on the Daffodils. I made the daffodils from prima flowers cut and glued to look like daffodils. Pink & brown dress made from recycled Victoria secrets tissue paper. Dress form from a Cricut cartridge, sorry can’t remember which one right now. I stenciled the background with some stencil paint cream made by Plaid (brown) and Delta (pink). Frame created from Fancy Frames Cricut cartridge.

 Thanks for stopping by.

C for Coveted use your most Coveted

Hello Paper crafters,
Todays post is all about my coveted paper collection. I LOVE PAPER! Especially my DCWV Immortal Love paper pack!  My sister Emily sent me this paper pack in 2011, because I don’t have a Joanna’s near my house. I was so excited to receive it!! Why you ask?? Well we had the intention of making this beautiful mini album. Elizabeth at 217 Creations   had so generously provided her gypsy cut files to all her followers. The album is a work of art! But so are my beautiful Immortal Love papers. So here I am in 2013…. I haven’t begun to make my mini album.
Todays Design Team post at the Alphabet Challenge Blog  COVETED- use your most coveted item DCWV Immortal Love
I took baby steps cutting up Immortal Love & created a card inspired by 217creations.com Twilight Mini Album. I used an 8 ½ by 11 black card stock and folded it in half. I cut the gate from Cricut cartridge Ornamental Iron & shadow & glued on to card. I fussy cut the base of the card to match the gate at middle of card. Images from Pixie Dust Studios, Breaking Dawn picture cut out from Uverse Guide (which came in at a perfect time!).Ribbon from an old stash I had to paint red & melted the edges down with my heat gun to create the puckered look .The little roses I bought on clearance after Valentines Day at Hobby Lobby. I cut and painted with acrylic paint, nothing like Elizabeth’s but inspired by her hard work!! Roses were small no Glimmer Glam or Glimmer Glaze, only my home made glitter spray made with rubbing alcohol and metallic Acrylic paint. I love how this card turned out! Baby steps I will eventually make the mini album. This card would be great to use as an invitation sometime this year for a Twilight Marathon weekend of crafting at my house.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

B for Bottles at the Alphabet Challenge Blog

Hello Bloggers,

I hope this week finds you well and ready for the weekend! First off let me say my card was a little hard to photograph this time around. I used oil pastels to color this lovely stamp by STAMP HAPPEN,Inc. from Hobby Lobby called Wine Collage #90290. The mustard background looks like it's a shimmery gold in the picture! I don't usually work with oil pastels, but I love how vibrant the colors look.I did one with watercolors too,but I got over ruled on which one looked the best! I was undecided on which one I should use for my DT post, so Kim & Mireya made the decision for me.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
