Babyshower for baby Balli

TheHello Bloggers,

I wanted to share a project I worked on for my sister's  1st baby shower. Everything cut and printed with my Shiloutte cameo except the popcorn boxes. I cut those with my Cricut expression and the Tag, Bags,Bags ,Boxes and more . The one piece baby laundry line created off a Google search image I traced.I didn't have the pink and grey paper so I made a stencil and painted paper before I cut.The party was a huge success With great food! Sisters are FANTASTIC!

K for Keys at the Alphabet Challenge

Hello Bloggers,

My internet issues are still causing me grief! Today they said my Uverse is finally fixed. I actually believe him; this tech went into the attic and found the 1st guy who installed our line in January didn’t connect the junctions together correctly. We lived without service for so long I was tempted to go to another company.
I am posting my design team project late and hope you get a chance to stop on by Alphabet Challenge Blog

I made this tag from a recycled box, and texture paste I made from a recipe Luvleescrapins posted on youtube.Heres the link how to make texture paste here:

I distressed the tag/ gift card with Tim Holtz ink pad, my daughter Kim hand painted the stenciled textured side.I used Pink By Design background stamp and embossed it with some distressed power. I cut the key out from a cricut cartridge and used gesso, black paint and copper acrylic paint to give it a realistic look.
I would like to enter my tag into the following challenges:

My first Mixed Media Project

Hello Bloggers,
My internet is down and I am posting l from my galaxy note 2 !
Todays post is for Tracy Weinzapfel Studios - June 2013 Creative Dare-Your Powerful Truths. This is my first mixed media project, well my second try. I started out with a totally different canvas I looked at it and said that s not me! l don't like it!  I gesso'd over it and came up with this in my sleep. I painted her with a hodged podge of Acrylic paints. I made my own textured paste and stencil. I used my cricut to create stencil and key. I also used some embossing powder and stampology flourishes. .ooh and lastly I used Faber Castell gelatos.I had a lot of fun making this. .but more practice is diffently needed!
I think I may start an art journal too...Too bad my Aqua Zumba is on Mondays! I enjoy watching Tray's youtube videos, almost makes you feel like you were talking and typing along with the group.

Thanks for stopping by.

I for Image at the Alphabet Challenge Blog

Hi Bloggers,
Sorry I am late, it’s been a crazy week! Good and bad. Are you a Country music fan? I love all music, but Country is what I listen to most .My brother in law had to work and my sister invited me to go with her to the George Strait concert!! I have never seen him in concert!! I know as many times as he comes to Houston, and the Houston Rodeo…I have never seen him! I had such a great time!!! He is on his farewell tour this was his final concert in SanAntonio. He suppose to retaire, he did mention finishing his tour next year. Enjoyed myself I cried …tears of happiness ! Double bonus I got to spend some one on one time with the Sotomayor girls.
Sad news late Friday night while we were at dinner I received a text from a co-worker my bosses daughter passed away in a huge fire, which claimed the lives of 4 firefighters and seriously injured 3 other firefighters. The last time this many fire fighters were lost was in the 70’s or 80’s. Houston had a huge memorial service for the 4 fighters. The private funeral service was beautiful, she was a lovely person inside and out.My prayers go out to the Sullivan family along with all the other fire fighters.
Good/ bad news after a month of full of doctor appoints, catscans and optomologist/nuerologist appointments we now know why my daughter was in so much pain. Migraines! Continuous migraines! She was given medicine which seems to be helping. Now we are on a hunt to find out what causes them. The pain was so bad, Dr. asked her to start a food log.Thankfully all will be ok for my baby girl….which isn’t a baby anymore.
….whew!!! busy May! On to Todays card .I made this card for the Alphabet Challenge blog I for Image. You are suppose to use the image as a main focal point in your card or project. Come buy and join me and my fabulous team mates.
Hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend.

Gift card Tags for Guys

Hello again Everyone,

After I made my gift card tags measuring 4x8 for the ladies I decided to make some for guys too.
We call him the Rocker guy tag. I was stumped on what to put on a guy tag, so me an Mireya went shopping! We decided to go to Hobby Lobby and it was close to closing time,we got lucky and found the little guitar . Have you ever been in Hobby Lobby when they announce it's ten till 8? We turned around and it was a ghost town in seconds! The place was full and we blinked and everyone left!!From there we went to the dollar store where I found a skeleton scarf and thought I can make this work on a guy tag.I love the way my Rocker Tag came out he was so much fun to make! This was also my first time using a mixed media type of painting with Time Holtz Alcohol inks and Distress Stains, plus some homemade sparkle spritz made with Rubbing alcohol and metallic acrylic paint. I used the cricut cartridge Paper Dolls Teen Scene to cut out guy and hand painted the face and hair.I also used the Tags,Bags,Boxes and more cricut cartridge for the tag, but I am sure you can use any tag.
Thanks for looking

E for Emerald at the Alphabet Challenge Blog

Hello bloggers,
Sorry for my quick post. Unfortunately my family has had a rough couple of months. My Mother in Law passed a way in February and my Grandfather is very near his final day. I am so glad I took a half day off of work and drove to Corpus early to visit Grandpa. I got to see him wake up, after 3days of sleep, and even got a few lucid moments. I will always remember my Grandpa’s last kiss and hearing him say he loved me. God willing Grandpa will pass peacefully in his sleep.  I couldn’t ask for anything more for such a loving Grandfather. Prayers for my family always welcome.
On to todays card for the Alphabet Challenge Blog. The challenge this week is E for Emerald (use mainly green). Last challenge our wonderful team leader Lesley decided to step down. Thankfully Shaz has kept our blog going for hopefully another few years or more! Come check out our new fresh look and play along.Sorry,I bought this stamp a few years back and I forgot her name! Anyway she was a joy to color, frame cut from Fancy Frame Cricut cartridge, paper from My minds eye.

D for Daffodils at Alphabet Challenge Blog

Hello Crafty Bloggers,

Today’s post is for my DT post which was D for Daffodils. This wasn’t my best work; I was stumped on the Daffodils. I made the daffodils from prima flowers cut and glued to look like daffodils. Pink & brown dress made from recycled Victoria secrets tissue paper. Dress form from a Cricut cartridge, sorry can’t remember which one right now. I stenciled the background with some stencil paint cream made by Plaid (brown) and Delta (pink). Frame created from Fancy Frames Cricut cartridge.

C for Coveted use your most Coveted

Hello Paper crafters,
Todays post is all about my coveted paper collection. I LOVE PAPER! Especially my DCWV Immortal Love paper pack!  My sister Emily sent me this paper pack in 2011, because I don’t have a Joanna’s near my house. I was so excited to receive it!! Why you ask?? Well we had the intention of making this beautiful mini album. Elizabeth at 217 Creations   had so generously provided her gypsy cut files to all her followers. The album is a work of art! But so are my beautiful Immortal Love papers. So here I am in 2013…. I haven’t begun to make my mini album.
Todays Design Team post at the Alphabet Challenge Blog  COVETED- use your most coveted item DCWV Immortal Love
I took baby steps cutting up Immortal Love & created a card inspired by 217creations.com Twilight Mini Album. I used an 8 ½ by 11 black card stock and folded it in half. I cut the gate from Cricut cartridge Ornamental Iron & shadow & glued on to card. I fussy cut the base of the card to match the gate at middle of card. Images from Pixie Dust Studios, Breaking Dawn picture cut out from Uverse Guide (which came in at a perfect time!).Ribbon from an old stash I had to paint red & melted the edges down with my heat gun to create the puckered look .The little roses I bought on clearance after Valentines Day at Hobby Lobby. I cut and painted with acrylic paint, nothing like Elizabeth’s but inspired by her hard work!! Roses were small no Glimmer Glam or Glimmer Glaze, only my home made glitter spray made with rubbing alcohol and metallic Acrylic paint. I love how this card turned out! Baby steps I will eventually make the mini album. This card would be great to use as an invitation sometime this year for a Twilight Marathon weekend of crafting at my house.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

B for Bottles at the Alphabet Challenge Blog

Hello Bloggers,

I hope this week finds you well and ready for the weekend! First off let me say my card was a little hard to photograph this time around. I used oil pastels to color this lovely stamp by STAMP HAPPEN,Inc. from Hobby Lobby called Wine Collage #90290. The mustard background looks like it's a shimmery gold in the picture! I don't usually work with oil pastels, but I love how vibrant the colors look.I did one with watercolors too,but I got over ruled on which one looked the best! I was undecided on which one I should use for my DT post, so Kim & Mireya made the decision for me.

Quinceanera Money Box

Hello Everyone,

Here's another post for the Quinceanera I recently got to participate in. I made the Money Box where you place your cards. I haven't been to a 15 party in 5 years...and before that it was 10yrs! Things sure have changed!  It was so much fun!

I wrapped the box, cut the slot in center, and sanded the cuts to a smooth finish and spray painted the top. I used fabric stiffener on the ribbon and wrapped it  around a dowel and let it dry to get the ringlets.

I would like to enter my project into the following challenges:

Quinceanera dress card

                                                     Quinceanera dress Card

Hello Bloggers,

Have you ever researched a project you had in mind….and even had an exact idea on what you wanted, but unsure of how to make all the pieces come together. That’s exactly what happens with me…I started this dress 3 weeks ago. I was watching a you tube video from nanajl54.  I wanted one much smaller…so I took her idea and adapted it to a card size.I cut my tp roll in half then cut in half again. Which meant I now had to tape the tp roll together. I have done a few dress form dresses, but this dress form I wanted it to be more voluptuous and more dramatic. I used hot glue to build up chest and used crepe paper and glue to shape her more. I wrapped sequins ribbon around and hand sewed corset together. After this I was stumped! How do I create the bottom part of dress? I moved it to the side and worked on a few other things. After I worked it all out in my head I sewed the top straight stitch and pulled strings to gather up around the waist. I originally straight stitched both bottom and top to try and form a ruffled dress…then bam it hit me! So I took off stitching at bottom and hot glued stripes of ribbon under the gathered ribbon to give it more fullness ..and poof…Tadda it was finished!! OOh I forgot to mention I made the dress form into a pin..This way Brittney can take it off the card and put it with her Quinca keepsakes.
I would like to enter my dress card into the following challenges:

Vinyl Hello Kitty meets Iphone

Hello Everyone,

Now that the holidays have past I have a few moments to post some of the projects I worked on over the holidays. I created an IPhone (4s) cover for Mireya. The 1st Hello Kitty I cut out with the Cricut very carefully, Halloween Hello Kitty is a sticker from Wal-Mart. I created a cut file on my gypsy for this, but it wasn't exact. I did trim it slightly on the side. These are fun to make, but they don't hold up well if like me you like to place your phone in your pocket. The Halloween one did hold up longer, because we modge podged after we placed it all together. If you would like the cut file email me or leave a comment with your email and I'll send it to you.

My first dress form

Happy New Year Everyone,

Today’s card is for my DT post at Alphabet Challenge Blog
where X marks the Spot - Spots and Stripes...My card uses stripes and one big spot that has a B on it. This card was so fun to make! I was inspired to use Pink, because Pink is Bella's signature color.

I used Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge, a glue gun, pink tissue paper, glue and a chopstick. Like we used to do in Kindergarten I cut the tissue and twisted it around a chopstick and put glue at the bottom and pushed in place with chopstick and release. I did this until the bottom was covered. I spritzed water on to my scrap piece of paper and let that dry a little. I enhanced my dress form by adding breast with my glue gun. I used glue to wrap the now more pliable scrap paper to the top of dress form. After all had dried I added a little bling with stickles. I added a La Petites rose with some bling flower picks. Lace from Hobby Lobby, &  circle stamp by Anna Griffin. The pretty pink paisley paper is from clearance paper stack which had no cover page so I don’t know who made it.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
By The Cute and Girly - Cute and Girly
