Wednesday Post

Hello Everyone, have you checked your local Wal-Mart lately? Clearance items are everywhere.I got a great deal at Wal-Mart the other day. I could have gone crazy because they had some cricut cartridges on sale for 30 dollars. I restrained myself and purchased the punch-out pack of 40 patterned papers and 437 alpha & accent punch-outs for only $6.00.I got a package of Stampology flourishes for $4.50. I can be a craftaholic if I'm not careful. But I bet we all tend to do that.
I made this card for the OCC Challenge
find out more about there site and challenges by following link.
I' m still learning how to blend, and keep the colors from
colliding with each other...I messed up a little, but the card was fun to make.
I just love this card. I'm going to give it to my Mom. She has some High School friends she still keeps up with and I bet she would love to give this card out.

Thanks for Stopping by and Looking

Trying something new

I made two cards today. I'm so proud of myself! This is the first time I've made four cards in one week! I've been stamping & coloring every chance I get. Can you believe I've actually had time to work on my Design Studio cut files too?
I'm working on making Martini & Margaritas glass cards. I'm having a little trouble getting the cards to line up. I'll keep trying and once I've finished I'll post my results. Sorry I'm rambling.I'm trying S2G Challenge today see more about the challengehere.I used the digi Angel provided by Shirley’s 2 Girls.
I embossed the card with the Ice Crystal Cuttlebug embossing folder, & used acrylic silver paint to give it a shimmer. The green paper is from Paper Studio All Seasons paper pack, and red paper is from a big scrap bag I bought at Hobby Lobby. The twist to Thursdays challenge is to add something clear. I used clear glitter glue on the crown of my Angel.
Hope you like my first Christmas S2G Challenge card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Second Challenge of Stampin for the Weekend

I'm trying the second part of Stampin for the Weekend...Wish me luck
see morehereStamp is from Stamps Happen, Inc. made by Carolyn Shores Wright, Sea Glass Strip& Blue Awning Flowers & Butterfly Paper made by K&C.I painted the bird with watercolors, gave her flyaway hair & glittered the yellow portion of flower. This card was made on a shoe string budget! A 99 cent store in our area had the 12x12 papers in stacks of 20 and it was K&C Company! The ribbon was purchased there to, but it was white. I used acrylic shimmery paint and painted ribbon blue. I woke up @ 4am dreaming I should paint that ribbon, So there I am @ 4am painting the ribbon. Funny how your mind works. Too bad I didn't get to assemble the card until after work.I hope you like the card.
