Quinceanera dress card

                                                     Quinceanera dress Card

Hello Bloggers,

Have you ever researched a project you had in mind….and even had an exact idea on what you wanted, but unsure of how to make all the pieces come together. That’s exactly what happens with me…I started this dress 3 weeks ago. I was watching a you tube video from nanajl54.  I wanted one much smaller…so I took her idea and adapted it to a card size.I cut my tp roll in half then cut in half again. Which meant I now had to tape the tp roll together. I have done a few dress form dresses, but this dress form I wanted it to be more voluptuous and more dramatic. I used hot glue to build up chest and used crepe paper and glue to shape her more. I wrapped sequins ribbon around and hand sewed corset together. After this I was stumped! How do I create the bottom part of dress? I moved it to the side and worked on a few other things. After I worked it all out in my head I sewed the top straight stitch and pulled strings to gather up around the waist. I originally straight stitched both bottom and top to try and form a ruffled dress…then bam it hit me! So I took off stitching at bottom and hot glued stripes of ribbon under the gathered ribbon to give it more fullness ..and poof…Tadda it was finished!! OOh I forgot to mention I made the dress form into a pin..This way Brittney can take it off the card and put it with her Quinca keepsakes.
I would like to enter my dress card into the following challenges:
